A) Some creators intentionally remove themselves from the VCAs. Including some of who I generally think of as the best editors around. I mean hell, these are people that makes stuff ALMOST as good as my videos so you know they gotta be good.
B) Org social dynamics can take someone further than I would have thought however in the end once the final voting starts a rush of the silent majority will pick the video with their favorite anime or the editor with the biggest hooters. People are moronic sheep running around bleeting after the teet of groupthink. They like really shiny shit and if it doesn't cause a single synapsis of their to fire while watching it then they'll just like it even more. Deal with it. Lord knows it ain't gonna change.

Everyone knows that the most crucial factor in winning the major awards are influencing the politics of the situation. If you win, it's because you're talented and deserve it. If you lose, it's because your enemies are destroying your reputation with smear campaigns. Essentially, you just have to bitch, whine, moan, throw public hissy-fits about what an unrecognized genius you are until everyone sees it your way. It's a sure-fire method if you just keep at it, year after year.

I'm a 18 year old chick with 36/24/35 DD. Well, if you want to think I am anyway.
Seriously though I think you guys already gave the ball kicking award to that other guy who had the harry avatar with his nipples circled. I didn't catch who it was and I think he changed it by now (Thankfully!).
As for me and my video.... I seriously doubt my video will win any award, but I definately have a goal in mind....
Before
"Sir will you see my video?"
"Sure"

Start
"Hmmm...."

After

Meanwhile Jerry Brukheimer is somewhere in the distant part of the org accepting the VCA of the year award...
