Just let other people rip it for you.

That seems to be very popular as of late.

if you have sucsesfuly(spelling?) ripped a dvd in the past 6 months your methed is way ahead of the guides.

The newist Technical Guide is from February, 2005, and anyone who has been using the internet for a week can tell you that that is to old to be up to current standereds.

yea, i would agree that once you get the foundation of how it should all work, then you can build on it... and apply new techniques.

plus the methods layed out in the site guides still work, no matter how you look at them... they still get the basic job done.

Hey, it didn't work for me and if it did there probably wouldent be so many people asking for help.

A lot o the stuff in that guide isn't even around for download anymore, and has tons of dead links.

I already googled everything in them like I said I read and reread them, that doesn't mean I just READ them I actualy tride to do everything they told me to, but I have an idea why don't you try looking at them yourself befor telling me what to do. Anyway I'm fine now and don't need the guides anymore I'm just trying to let new people know about stuff that works instead of hijacking everythread where somene is asking for help to try make them look like a dumbass, and efecivly shunning all noobs.

Just think of it like this, every person who is trying to learn to proporly rip dvd isn't useing fansubs and raw, i think you just want them to use downloaded stuff so you have another reason to flame them.

Actually, the guide recommends DVD Decrypter, which -- despite now technically being "warez" -- still works.

Have you actually read these guides that you're disparaging, or are you just basing all this on some overgeneralization?

Actually, everything in EADFAG that it mentions is provided in the AMVapp, which is, in fact, still available for download. If you want more, then 30 seconds of searching would have given you (at the very least!) this, this, and this.

If you want everything handed to you in monosyllabic words on a golden platter, just say so. You won't get it, but at least you'll be honest about it.
