Ok, so I storyboarded... once... so here you go, here's a copy of it, put on spoiler tag for those people who have not seen Scrapped Princess because I wrote downt he scenes in detail so I am well reminded of what I wanted to achieve.
Yeah, this video does not exist in my account... one day maybe, if I ever get around to remastering it. Oh, the numbers indicate the episode number. I had a matching scene timeline to go with the episodes so I could cross reference things that way. Yeah, I haven't put as much effort in anything since then
However one thing's for sure... there's no set way of doing it, just like there's no set way in creating AMVs

I storyboard using the lyrics. At the beginning it's as vague as episode numbers scribbled after the lines as a reminder (and to help me space important bits) and as the vid develops and all the easy stuff gets done it turns to random musings scribbled after the lines.
The vast majority, however, is done in my head, and I don't keep the bits of paper (or tissue) any longer than it takes me to sort out my ideas.

heh... I know im going to contradict myself here.... i storyboard most of the major events in a video (usually in my head)
but sometimes if i am using a very long series, then i will write down where i can find certain scenes....
though i think the last one i actually storyboarded by writing down all the stuff i wanted to use (or might have wanted to use), was my Star Trek DS9 vid (just before walking in the butterflies)... but going through 7 seasons of 1 hr eps... @_@ yea...
most of my "storyboarding" happens when im "clip harvesting"
