Oh OK. Those sound great but I was more looking for a different kind of mood.
Here are some examples:
Orchestral - Nearer My God to Thee (not w/any choir or singer)
Orchestral - Elen
I'll be happy to send these to anyone as they might be hard to find. It'll only take a few minutes since I have broadband.

ok, I don't have any cds with me hat are readable by macs, but i got a few songs that could bring an idea. As the Wired Knight said, your music and video have to be well chosen to bring us to tears. and would it be tears of happiness or weeping?
Seeman by Rammstein
Zombie by the Cranberries (with no vocals)
Legend of Ashitaka (in princess Mononoke)
Myung Theme (Cello version from Macross Plus)
Nothing Else Matters by metallica
Time of Your life by Greenday
The ending theme from Blood: The last Vampire
Tonight Tonight from Smashing Pumpkins
if you could only see by Tonic
there are a few songsa from Limp Bizkit that could be good, but I just don't remember which ones.
Good luck on your video

Oh, I was sorting through my CDs. . . Some really sad and depressing ones are found in the Final Fantasy IX four disc official soundtrack.
You can download them here .
(Try Freya's theme, burmecian kingdom, forgotton face, Terra, Branbal: the soulles village, you're not alone!, sorrow not fading, I want to be your canary, two hearts not captured, and/or prelude.[these are in order])

I've always thought that Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles would make an excellent amv if someone could pull it off. It's really sad and everyone loves the Beatles
. Admittedly it would be very difficult to do well, which is why I'm giving the idea away instead of doing it myself.

When I become an Evil Overlord my Legions of Terror will be an equal-opportunity employer. Conversely, when it is prophesied that no man can defeat me, I will keep in mind the increasing number of non-traditional gender roles.

It is my lifelong goal to make my dieing scream as horrible as possible.
