It's about the music, not anime.
heh, yeah. I bet they don't give a rats ass about anime companies.
Exactly, this has nothing at all to do with anime. Also, you're making a huge mistake if you think someone at the RIAA stops and considers the implications of any of these cease and desist letters before they send them out. Thye just surf, see something, and generate a letter. Then the people running the site get yelled at by their ISP, the ISP may even just shut the site down, and the burden is entirely on you. There's no "innocent until proven guilty" and no justice, and unless you have a lot of money, a great legal team, and a fairly unique ISP, you're offline and possibly even in debt.

What I meant is paying a few cence for each download, with the money going to the musician. Then we'l prety much be perfectly legal (because anime companies dont care).

I'm gonna crash my car into their building with tons of homemade explosives!

That's refreshing news, I apologize for sounding alarmist if it was unwarranted but don't know much personally about who exactly runs the site. So I take it that DNS is offshore as well? Is the domain refistered to an offshore address? It would be ideal if the whole operation plus some of the key people involved were isolated from the RIAA's span of control in some way.

Then it's back to the days of the AMV mailing list and personal AMV sites.

*shrug*
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

Farlo was joking, sadly. The servers are in the usa, just a 10 minute drive from dero's house (not joking).
