Any 3D skills in amv's?

Isn't it weird how you hear this from all the people who actually have good 3D in their AMV?

The people who have good 3D stuff in their AMVs compare their skills to good 3D artists, like these people

My video, Digital 'D' incorporated a 3D "death mask" I rendered from one of my character models. It was done using 3DStudio MAX.

You can search for 'Original Animation' though that includes every kind of self-made animation and not just 3D. There's also 'Original 3D Animation' but not many creators have used it for its purpose yet.

As for 3d AMVs, this uses a completely self-created Macross animation for the video

Can't really say much about trythil's vids since I have to watch em 10 times... "ddr3_track12_352x240.mpg" is the sort of vid you can't get bored of and goes into the "keeper" category. "ddr4-track01-opening.mkv" has only one flaw - the rl bit showing the two bums dancing to ddr.

Class vids.

"Aluminum-Silence.avi" and all the others are also great works. I like the text overlay in the beginning, I may have to borrow that idea one day. I can understand now why "AbsoluteDestiny-VirtuaAnime.avi" springs to mind. That is probably the most original amv i've seen. "Drngd Kreationz-Olin-HQ.avi" is very creative with the 3D transitions. "macrossalpha.avi" is cool, but "Surfing on the Blocks [HQ].mkv" is definitely a keeper.

Thanks for all your recomendations. rubyeye what's 3D studio Max like? I might get it since I may want to create more complex 3D animations than what Ulead Cool 3D offers.

Those aren't really objects. But I consider particles 3D. Be sure to check the near end scene where I animated space and Earth.
