The answer is: you shouldn't do it.
If you did, at least give the author some credit in the video description. And it's best if you don't submit a video which uses other people's edits to a contest. If someone recognizes it, and it's not as hard as it might seem, people will be rather unhappy.

Is it so hard for people to get their own source footage. Go out and buy or rent the DVDs. Heck I spent $400 on Rose of Versailles DVDs from Italy. I don't have the money, and it took me months and months to save up, but I did it. If I find someone used footage from my RoV videos I would be pissed and have good reason to be so. Your not only stealing someone's hard work, but also the time, money and effort they put into it.

Yes, you can D/L it. But no, it won't look good D/L'd.
It's simple, really. If you want a first-rate video, you can't expect to make that with second-rate footage. I had to pass up on a great idea for that reason now. I'd rather wait for better footage then discredit my own editing with crappy-looking visuals.
