Besides all the technical stuff I would general suggest you spend time watching AMVs so that you can begin to understand the artistry needed to make a one and distinguish what makes a great AMV from a poor one. Also just to know which ideas, anime/music combinations are overused.

Good luck with your exams and making AMVs!

Lets just say id have better chance in the exams if i didnt watch so many AMVs, lol. or just animes in general.

The annoying thing about me or at least lucky anyway is that when it comes to times near exams/assignments I become strangely responsible and cut down on anime, gaming, etc. but it is just so annoying as it took me months just to complete FF X-2.

I agree on this note, but be sure not to Inadherently copy a style off someone esle, its always good to come up with your own style of editing and be unique. ^_^ This creates fresh original video ideas that are always a pleasure to watch.
