it might be wisest to not show the music videos in their entirety, but maybe 15 second - one minute sections. that way you can fit in more examples and have more time to speak about them.

Effects-Koop Need I have to say more?

Drama-Peh...there have been so much lately that it wouldn't be fair for me to pimp only one. Bleah...am to lazy to dew it though. Others already mentioned pretty good stuff, so check that out.
P.S. Anyone know where to download Eva Opus?

Or whatever file sharing utility you prefer. Kazaa, WinMX, they all work.
(Just the other week, while browsing some anime fan's files, I picked up a Kevin Caldwell Golden Boy video to "It's a Beautiful Life" that I never even knew existed before...)

My suggestions:
Caffeine Encomium - It's classical music instead of rock/pop, it's a pre-SFX filled video, it's damned funny, and it doesn't require having seen the anime before. You could probably get 15 minutes from just those things.
Failed Experiments At Video Editing - A good demo of how making AMVs is harder than throwing a few clips to some music. Again, it's not required to have seen the anime and it's entertaining.
Storytelling - The story is entirely self contained which is nice and it's a good for showing off a different aspect to AMVs
Soul of An Angel - I still think this is the best effects video around. To really get it requires the audience to have seen Eva before but I doubt anyone would get it all the first time they watched it anyway.
Moneyshot - You'd become on of the most known kids at school instantly. I doubt you'd get a good grade though.

He even won "Creator of the Year" and yet no one named him, although someone named "Shameless Rock Video." Tsk tsk
