i never said eva, bebop or hina were perfect animerogue_noir wrote:I respectfully disagree. There are already hundreds or even thousands of Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, and Love Hina videos out there; these aren't bad shows but making one more video based on any of these will very unlikely make you stand out from the crowd. In other words, you'll be an "average Joe" in the AMV community.Daio Kaji wrote:
perfect anime: some anime that EVERYONE has seen AND understands enough to enjoy the video

i'm making the argument that perfect anime doesn't exist
yeah, it's hard, but actually, i'm thinking that the perfect song can exist, becaues if you go off of what i wrote earlier, a perfect song would be something that everyone has heard and understands, this doesn't work for anime, because you have to watch the thing beforehandrogue_noir wrote:Probably far more important than using a popular (and thus OVERused anime).. this makes it difficult for me since I have a distaste for the vast majority of "popular" songs out there..Daio Kaji wrote: perfect song: some song that EVERYONE has heard AND understands enough to enjoy the video
But for music, even if you haven't heard the song before, you'll be hearing it in it's entireity (usually) when you watch the video, and if you understand the lyrics and listen the whole way through, it can still be the perfect song as long as people pay attention to it while the video plays and like the song
in the end, the 'perfect' or even 'likeable' song is always just a matter of opinion and will change for almost every person, heh heh, that's actually something that people who watched Eva should have learned, that everything is just a matter of how you interpret it, learning to cope with things opens ur mind to understanding it better instead of just pushing it aside and never letting yourself grow...
