I have made live action music videos before. I even filmed one for a class. It was almost a PSA as the character had lost their boyfriend in a drunk driving accident. I edited too, if I had wrote the music it'd be all mine ;)

I am making a Titanic music video right now (no, not the 1997 movie, it's using Ghost of the Abyss) that will likely never meet the eyes of otaku, but I think the Titanic people will get a kick out of it. Yes, I like ocean liners and battle ships. I'm a cut from an odd shaped block ^_~

From the article:
Why aren't there Buffy The Vampire Slayer videos or Matrix music videos made by fans of the series?
WTF? There are. Just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they don't exist. I've seen some Buffy videos, and I might make one if I run into a lull in my AMV making.

Grr. It's what Vlad said - the companies (like Fox) that hold the original series' copyrights beat down most sites that distribute them.

I'm not entirely buying the answers, but it is an interesting question, and I like seeing analyses from outside observers.

I at least wouldn't mind seeing that- Ghosts of the Abyss was a damn good IMax movie.

I like what he said...
8)
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

Watch the Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
Metal Robotnik will satisfy all your crotch-laser pleasures. ;)
