Now please help me. I'm cold and there are wolves after me.

When I first started watching other peoples AMV's the problem was that 99% of the videos had absolutely no timing whatsoever even when more people started using computers. Now, with the new creators, the problem is just the opposite. Most everyone has at least some kind of timing but now I have to worry about whether or not I might have a seizure for a lot of these videos. (Holy crap! I really *do* sound old.)

Is it just me, or would some of these videos look exactly the same if Windows Media Player couldn't find the codec for it and you just watched that flashy design for 4 minutes?

I would appreciate it if you wouldn't mock me so.

Veterans better learn to deliver better than normal quality stuff!!!1!!!4$$!!!

If you don't:

A) You will be removed from this site.
B) You will be shunned for ever releasing something that isn't equivalent to a gift from god.
C) Any respect you had will be thrown out the door.
D) You will be forced to watch the most popular videos 24/7 over a 3 month period to learn how to please an audience.

....

:? This topic has recently been bugging me. It's a hobby, it's not like someone who has been at this at a while MUST deliver a certain level of anything. If you want to outdo someone, then by all means do so! But the expectation stuff has got to go.

If you 'beat' a veteran in an amv contest does it really mean that much? Does winning destroy the other videos and cause them to combust because no one in their right mind would ever want to watch something that isn't a winner? Are you now better than that person because you defeated them in battle? Obviously the answer MUST be: YOU > THE REST OF THE WORLD

When it comes down to it… I don’t care to outdo someone or if someone is actively trying to outdo me (shouldn’t be very difficult… ). I am not doing this for anyone other than myself. I didn’t show up on this site and announce, “I am here to beat you all, behold my precious amv contest awards, I am the greaterest editor in the galaxy!!!” like (for some reason) so many people have done. I don’t understand the mentality of these people. Are you so starved for acceptance and praise? Can you live without being the center of attention simply feeding off of other people? …kind of comes across as pathetic…

I’d hope that someone edits to make something they want to actually see rather than to outdo someone else…

All the new editors will devour the old ones. This I am sure of, it is written in the prophecies. Judge not lest ye be judged! … :P

i'm not starved for acceptance and praise, but it IS nice to see that other people enjoy watching my video's as much as I do.

To make something that people like even More is the way in which I try to better myself.

It IS a hobby yes, but like painting or pottery or any other hobby, someone who paints can only get better from practice. Of course they are going to try and better themselves (who the hell would wanna make pieces of shit that no one likes and then make an even SHITTER piece after that?)

Would anyone here honestly try and make an even worse video if everyone hated and flamed the original to kingdom come?

/me waits for the flames.

(PS: don't bother watching my video it's shithouse...)
