This might be the wrong place but....

Should there be a sister site for game, cartoon, and movie music videos?

Probably not going to happen. You're welcome to make one if you want but the copyright issues regarding western media is a bit tougher due to a stronger hold on these items and companies more willing to enforce them. I was talking with AD last AWA and according to him the reason you can't really fine live action music videos so much is because it's so much harder to distribute them due to U.S. copyright laws and companies being willing to enforce them. this would be even tougher with regards to companies that are far more protective of their works (Disney would be one of those) so whlie the video games might not have too much an issue, U.S. Tv series and movies would be frought with cease and desist orders.

For movie/TV music videos I suggest you look for 'vidding' communities at sites like http://livejournal.com/ or http://imeem.com/.

For gaming music videos there are some here on the org (tons of Final Fantasy, some DOA etc), but for another game I would check major video hosting sites like boochsack and imeem. However if you want to go hardcore you'll have to pick a game, and go hunting for the major fansites which often host game footage set to music. This is often buried in the forums under a specific category. You'll find game videos usually are skill videos, but you can often find the odd creative non-skill based ones.

Unfortunately you're unlikely to find a website for North American cartoons, as companies here tend to go after you. However you should still be able to find them on video sharing sites. Things like the GI Joe PSA series comes to mind here (they got a takedown notice)

Alright, that makes sense. Still, I wish GMVs could be hosted here but that would be hipocritical.

The game footage for the gmv is of japanese origin (i.e., final fantasy, kingdom hearts, soul calibur and the like) then you can still upload it.

What about Metroid? It's still Nintendo but every game made recently but the 2-D ones have been made in America.

Last I checked, Metroid doesn't have FMVs. VGMVs made from random gameplay footage aren't allowed.

It doesn't have FMVs but there are cutscenes. Come to think of it, no Nintendo game even has FMV except for SSBM.
