people cut the credits on fansubs to fit the 10 min time frame of yt... not to try to take credit themselves... :/bluearyus wrote:yeah....umm good answer.
any serious responses? I don't see fansub groups having word filters or any real hatred of YT either. and their releases are on there....including having their credits "cut" out.
the filter is there because the mods put it there... perhaps they are sick of hearing people complain about things they have no controll over...
there is no way for the mods of a-m-v.org to do anything about the tube, so theres no point in having any posts about the site... therefore they filter it to discourage posts :/
makes sense to me... or atleast thats the reason i assume they put the filter there

Stalk me?

1) hosatchel (or lady of the evening satchel if you prefer) gets mixed reactions from the members. This mixed reaction is pointless, because regardless of how the said members feel, this site doesn't like it. Hence, the word filter. There was an (admitedly minor) debate about changing the word filter to something like <banned> or something equally descriptive. I kind of like hosatchel, it's catchy.
2) if your video is 'stolen' and winds up there, there isn't anything you can do about it from here. I do believe that there was a 'sh-tlist' thread that people were using as a starting point for spamming various 'tube people that stole videos but I lost track. Probably locked.
3) When I read the original post, I failed to notice anything like... a question, or even a suggestion in it. What I saw was ranting. More like it was telling us that hosatchel exists.. in case we didn't know. I do belive that ranting falls under the heading of "pointless".
4) fansub groups probably don't have filters because there are hundreds of them, and generally speaking it's an off limit topic anyway since invariably people will want to know where to download said groups stuff. Which is definately off limits.
5) seeing as this topic isn't original, isn't constructive and has many like it already I vote for LOCK

Only if you put them in the middle, or watermark your whole video. The ends tend to get chopped off. The people that post your video alread know it's not theirs, and will probably just delete your posts.Cornwiggle wrote:The best way to remedy #2 is to put credits or your name on each AMV. Then if someone says "Hey look I made this" at least someone on hosatchel who can read and has reasonable intelligence can see otherwise.

Well the people who do that can't be too smart either, so I bet half of them don't even know how to chop off an ending.madbunny wrote:Only if you put them in the middle, or watermark your whole video. I wanted to edit my post to make it a bit clearer (but i don't think i can?) ...I meant websites for fansub groups don't have word filters for YT.madbunny wrote: 4) fansub groups probably don't have filters because there are hundreds of them, and generally speaking it's an off limit topic anyway since invariably people will want to know where to download said groups stuff.
