Question about Intros and Endings to animes on DVD

Post by Ryo Destined » Tue Jul 25, 2006 6:29 pm

I haven't had much experience with DVD animes because of my budget, but I was hoping some of you who do have more would be able to answer my question. How common is it a special feature to include the intro and/or ending to the anime uncredited? You know, just the animated sequence. I'm a big fan of intros and endings because of their specialized animations for music, hence I find they make great AMV fodder. Thank you for your time.

Hmm, most anime DVDs I have include them, but the ones that usually have very scarce extras, I wouldn't hold my breath. Think of G Gundam or something, yeah they didn't have it.

But I think most that you can buy have them.

Some times these will be on a special extra disc. I have the Macross 20th Anniversary disc and it has the clean OPs and Eds for every single Macross series produced (even SD Macross!).

Some do, some don't. If clean intros/endings are a concern for you, NEVER, I repeat, NEVER buy ADV thinpack sets.

ADV Slimpack boxed sets never have clean openings, your best bet is to buy the individual ones from ADV to get the extras :P

All the Pioneer thinpacks I've come across have them.
