I don't get it...
well I'm not exactly new to a-m-v.org... but I really haven't been here for too long and I've only got 2 videos up currently. well I look and I see people with like thousands of opinions, but I still haven't gotten any, even though my first vid was posted months upon months ago. I have high hopes for my newest one: Live for So Much More in which I used FFX footage and the song Meant to Live by Swichfoot. Everyone I've showed it to tell me that it's amazing, but I'm still not getting many views on it. Oh well, it's its first week on here so we'll just see how things go. But yeah! I digress... does anyone have some advice on how I can get more view/ops??? I'm not worried about stars because that's not why I do this, I do this because I enjoy making then and I like learning how others feel about them. So yeah, I'm open to any adivice, and danke in advance. Thanks for listen to my rant, this is Teh Fox, aus.

Part of it depends on how well your video is known prior to release when you are talking about the thousands of opinions. Keep in mind how many videos there are on this site; then how many actually use the audio or video you have chosen. Then you see your competition when people use the search which is about the only way someone just perusing the site will find your video.
Exposure outside of the org really boosts the ratings and views of your videos. I.e. up until a couple of my videos actually made it into the finals of Anime Conventions the hits on my profile and videos were really low. But once you make one or two that gets recognition then people will start viewing them continuously and your other videos should recieve hits as well.

Also, It's important to realize that the top 10% list is a perpetuating cycle. A video with like 700 Ops has that many because it once only had 600 Ops, but was on the top 10% list (thus new people with very little means of comparison downloaded it and gave it high scores keeping it high up). That same video had 600 Ops becuase it once had 500 Ops and so on down the count. Many vids got there through luck, winning contests with large numbers of people willing to drop high-number ops, becaue they're damn good, because of the fanboy/fangir factor, and sometime through friends willing to "help them along."
Such large numbers of opinions are not realistic goals. If you do want Ops, do an op exchange. And don't fool yourself, many of those videos with hundreds of Ops are filled with "that was cool" or the like for comments. Nothing that really helps.

Yeah, just make the best amvs you can, hang out in the forums, do op exchanges and get ur name out there. If ur amvs are good, people will tell more people and ur hits will go up. And if they don't, that's a good hint. Also, starting a studio with a few people and doing colabs is a good way to get tips and learn quick. And dont forget to read the GUIDES. They will make or brake u when it comes right down to it. Too many people take a overused anime and song, make it in wmm, post it, and expect to get famous. It doesn't work like that. I'v been makin amvs for 2 years and i'm still not that popular. Just do the best u can.

pimping your videos is an art. it's much easier if you made an amazing video. then you just put it in announcements and watch it grow.
if its just "good" or worst, do some op exchanging
