enough footage?

a recent bit of inspiration has provoked me to make an eva amv. untouched ground for me.
my song is about 4 and half minutes long and i will not change it.
its a sort of slow funky song.
the intended final product is an action with dashes of drama and large explosions.
i don't have access to the entire eva serries, but i CAN drive to best buy, and get the 2 eva movies (seen the first one. watched the serries so didn't watch the second one)
should these sources have enough footage for my needs. (in an opinion. i realize "needs" vary from artist to artist)

would prefer replies from people who used only the 2 eva movies to make a amv. one running around the same length or more if possible

the rule of thumb is that you should have at least 30 minutes of footage for every minute of song. thats how you know if you have enough footage.

Of course there's enough. I've made a 7.5 minute Eva video from the movies only, most of which is rather slow, and I dare say it came out rather successfully.

It largely depends on your focus. If you're making a Gendo profile or something, you certainly won't have enough. If you're making something more general, sure.

For the record, the shortest I've done is a 50-second video from 55 seconds of total footage (all from one continuous scene)
