My question is, are these overdone? I'll be going to a con later this year (Animazement), and I would like to submit a comedy entry for their AMV contest. The anime will most likely be Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, can't really go wrong there, unless someone wants to convince me otherwise.
Do you think a Fumoffu AMV parody'ing some old cartoon intro like Captain Planet or something will work though? Or will the audience be like "meh" and sort of mentally skip over it? I searched around here, and saw a ton of entries set to Captain Planet, just to use it as an example.
Comedy is hard because you've got to surprise the audience with something so outrageous that it's great.
