True if we do stand up yea it will get us attention and something bad can happen. But Wind-Up has noticed this. And others may notice. But we still should stand up. Im not saying send angry hate mail or say look at a-m-v.org but try to find other examples like us that are willing to support user created stuff. And letting big bussiness know that sites like amv are made by fans of the music and the anime not malicious people who want to rip the recording industry. I think that most of the anime business sees amv's as a premotion tool that they dont have to pay for. And we should enforce that the site dosent premote piracy but people who love there music and anime and want to share it with the world and open these people to new kinds of music and anime. The music industry dosent understand this becuase they see no fast results. Anime companies see the overall picture. So we need to find ways to not put the ORG in danger and stand up for user created stuff of anykind.

Wind-Up was told

And while we aren't giving out whole anime, we are actually giving out whole, unedited songs.

Yea that is true and that is why the music industry wouldn't like this site and that the law says something about partail use of a materail can be fair use depending on the amount and situation. But I say wind up or there artist were worried about

A: worried about the whole "artistic devalueing" by making amvs
B: That some tech savy kid will rip the audio off the videos and turn them to mp3 and posibly destributing them.

Some of it sounds farfetched but yea it isnt legal but untill they embrase it (wont hold my breath) they wont see the real benifits. Only if they can see sites like this as fans who want to premote there fav artist and anime and not become bootleging pirates of the seven seas then we will just hope and pray that the org lives.
