Help Please - Video Conversion Question

Post by campion619 » Fri Dec 30, 2005 9:50 pm

I'm trying to make a mv on adobe premiere pro, and I can't use my real player files. So I wanted to know if there are any programs that convert files from real format into quicktime.

The very first hit on a Google search using "convert realmedia to quicktime":

http://www.riverpast.com/en/support/tut ... rm/mov.php

Also, this is much better suited to the Video Software Help part of the forum. Perhaps this will be moved there by a kindly mod.

I wondered that too, since the software in question is Premiere Pro...

Well, I can import quicktime files to premiere pro, but not real player files.

i use rad video tools by bink and smacker.

use this guide http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/mov2avi.htm
but use your rm files instead of mov(you may have to set file types ot all files to view rm files).

eo-video also works.

That doesn't make them any less horrible of a source to work with.

Winavi will convert Real Media files to avi, wmv, mpeg, etc.

http://www.winavi.com/video-converter.htm

You can also try tucows.com and do a search for freeware if you want.
