I'm FINALLY finished with my remake.

You guys are right- you become a perfectionist and start finding flaws that you did not notice in the first version. It takes forever, it frustrates you, and it takes the fun out of making the AMV. Almost as if the story and the feelings were taken out and you were just competing in a technological achievement contest.

Conversely, making remasters must be HARD. I am talking about if you are starting all over from scratch with better visual footage. Not just adjusting the proportions/resolution or using new audio. You have to match scene by scene- and sometimes the sync you just cannot get right.

Remakes are a little bit easier if you are using different edits. Plus you can learn from previous errors better.

I'll post an announcement of my remake as soon as I check that it uploaded well.

Remaking is oh so much a pain in the ass, but oh so very worth it.
Ask me about my secret stash of videos that can't be found anywhere anymore.
