Very well put I have to say. When you make an amv most of the time you relate it to yourself. Don't you ever pick out a character that has traits similar to yours. Then he/she becomes your favorite #1 character. Well it obviously reflects in my amv's which character is my favorite. I mean I didn't have my farther die when I was young, but the struggling and determination to get through the times are the same. As well when Gene hates to go into space and finally gets over it. I hate to fly and I just got use to the idea of flying again. I was really never a person for flying anyway lol.

Sounds like criterea for the establishment of a rehab clinic.

On second thought AMVs should be the opium of the masses. Of course, AMV withdrawal isn't pretty. [recalls all those nights with head at toilet bowl level muttering explicatives at the unreliable broadbandwidth connection]

amv = jollies, end of story
My strength is not that of the mountains, nor is as vast as the plains, nor does each wave crash upon the shore and thunder like lightning into my viens...but that which i can muster, and that which i will, i will bring myself foward into this world like no man has done before...

Like everyone else, amv's are a part of who you are. At first, it was just a hobby for me. Something to do and pass the time in school. But the more you get into it, the more you learn. The more you learn, the more amv's you see, the more anime you end up seeing, the more ideas you get. It's this continuous process. Or it is to me. As for inspiration, it really kinda goes together with the rest of it. I get a good idea by listening to a lot of music, and I run with it. My question is, how do hentai amv editors get there ideas....
