Britney Spears - Toxic. That song scares me every time.

I can't think of anything in particular, but if you get an album by A Minor Forest you might find something good on there. If all else fails... use the Monster Mash...

...and you will lose the contest and be booed out of the anime club. Might be fun.

Try something off the new Fates Warning album, FWX. It's totally different than anything they've ever done before. There's some "creepy" tracks you might be able to use.

It's heavy and has alot of Engine & TOOL influences. Bizzare, but that's FW for you. :?

Try L'Arc~en~Ciel's Lose Control. It's Japanese, but it fit your description perfectly. If you want it, I could send it to you through e-mail or whatever else you might have.

For some real, old-school Goth music, try Bauhaus. I'm not sure if it's "creepy", but it certainly covers "dark" (along with a noticable, but tolerable, dose of "whiny").

For some really old-school Goth music, explore Midieval chants and the like. Some of those could render a great "creepy" effect. Minor-key Baroque music also seems to go well with the Victorian vision of dark environs, so Bach might be a good choice as well (just try listening to a few pieces other than the "Toccatta and Fugue in D Minor, BVW 565" before settling on that well-done but rather cliche piece).

There are a few tracks of of Alan Parson's "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" that you might find useful, the whole album having an Edward Allen Poe theme. He also put out a really creepy sounding song toward the end of "I Robot", but I don't know the name of the track, as I always listen to the album straight through.

Pink Floyd's "Meddle" has two cool, mostly instrumental tracks that might fit (in theme, if not in length). "One of These Days" is the first, being one of Floyd's few songs that might be classified as "heavy" and having only the line "One of these days, I'm going to dash you into little pieces" for the vocals, spoken in a rather demonic tone by the drummer. "Echoes", on the other hand, features a strange soundscape, a soothing melody, and an intersting organ arrangement that come together into a beautiful 20-minute-long aural journey.
may seeds of dreams fall from my hands -
and by yours be pressed into the ground.

some wierd sounding project 86 songs

Post by [GC] God » Fri Oct 08, 2004 12:38 am

ive got a suggestion, for creepy songs, project 86 has some creepy sounding songs in between the real songs on thier CDs [the CD im making coment on it truthless heroes] the intermission type songs are just wierd sounding mixed messages that seem to if played in order make up a whole song, but then again thier whole Cd does have some other odd sounding spots, you could also try thier second Cd drawing black lines its got a really creepy sounding song somewere in the middle of it, i think they would go well with an AMV but im not all too sure, i havent really started making AMV's, but if you do like my suggestions then PM me i guess, i could send you the songs if you are interested.

Try classical music, always a nice change:

Behold, All Flesh is As The Grass - Brahms (A Germen Requiem)

Dances of Death - Hugo Ditzler

Witches Dance - Antoine Dvorak
I have discovered that all human evil comes from this, man's being unable to sit still in a room.

If you have the resources to do it, here's an idea you might love to try. I started
to make this AMV but didn't know how to end it:

The Scene:
1) two cops, one on each side of the Girl they are dragging up the stairs
who looks totally-zoned, are quietly jokingly talking about some sporting event
as they are carriing her by her arms as she is facing the other direction.
2) The doors swing open to show a Long passage way to the front desk of the
police station ( and there are many many pillers on the way. )
3) [ the pillers are the key to what happens next ]
4) as they walk by, She sorta looks beside each piller ( still being dragged by her
arms, when she Quickly SNAP's back to reality by seeing a shadow - the music
starts ( Savage Guarden's "I Want You" )
5) behind the next piller she see's another image/shadow ( the scratchy record
sound from the songs opening start's getting louder and louder.
6) Suddenly she see's HIM - The Man/Vampire that she's be running away from
and that had the Police arrest her ( for disturbing the peace ) AND She Screams
one very-loud-and-long "EEeeeeek" ( the Song Kicks-in with everything ) as the
camera pans and zooms in on HIM ( smiling - a crewl quiet laughter )

I tryed to make the AMV myself last year bout this time but ran out of idea's.

8-) the song, "Savage Guardens - I Want You"
feel free to use it - I'll be waiting to see it ^_^
