In my efforts to find something in this world that scares me on the big screen, television, or my computer, I have come up with this theory on horror. There are two types, possibly with many sub-catagories. The first is, in my opinion, the only one that is scary, and that is suspence horror. Suspense horror is, as Steven King defined, the door. What he meant by that is answered in an essay on horror he wrote. He poses the question "What is scarier, the door itself or what's behind it?" We know in horror movies that if we open the door, something bad will happen, right? But what it is we don't know. As we approach the door, the heart rate goes up, your hair stands on end, and you become more alert, almost superhuman. Then, prepared for anything, you open the door and find...nothing. We fear the door because we don't know what's behind it, and that is true fear. That is something I have yet to see on the database. The second type of horror is that of action horror. This is what you see in slasher movies, such as Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This is also most common on the database. People die in groutesque ways, running, screaming, usually fast paced, the whole nine yards. This, unfortunately, isn't really scary to anyone anymore. While it may suprise you, you don't leave still thinking about it.
Drama is one of those things that is extremely broad. A short description of what drama can be is "anything unfunny". This covers romance (the romance part of romantic commedies isn't usually meant to be funny, I think, but I tend to shy away from these types of movies). You also have your classic person dieing of cancer, perhaps a bit of self-discovery or some sort of epiphany, or maybe even everyday life. Drama could, in your case, include a character profile, especially if it is a character such as Vash (if done in a certain way), Vegita (yes, he is a character that leads a "dramatic" life), or perhaps even Ceres Victoria. I see you used Naruto, so it will be up to you to decide how you want to classify it. Is it funny? Is it scary? Is it serious? Watch it again, ask those questions, and find the appropriate answers. Hell, I'll even watch it and tell you what I think it should be.
On a side note, what contest do you want to enter?
