AMV banners

I lack a beter place to ask this question but I trying to make a Banner and i just can't get the text to work. I tried Adobe Photoshop [my version is 5.5] and a Corel Product but I can't get the text small enough to fit on the Graphic well. Do people make things big and shrink them to fit the Banner Size of 468x60?

Did you try going to Image Size and reducing the DPI (or increasing the height/width) without resampling? That should make the fonts smaller for any given point size, which should help.

i open a new project in photoshop with the set banner size, and when im doing text, i just go to window, then character, and that should hold all the text stuff you need, although i work with 7, but i dont see why it shouldnt work for most versions.
