The club I used to be Vice President in wasn't what we would call an "Anime Club" since we also showed live-action stuff from Japan as well, such as the live-action version of Great Teacher Onizuka as well as some Live-Action movies from Japan, but from time-to-time, we'll throw a few AMVs that would span an area of thirty minutes, either before the actual meeting or after. However, if we had some time left over, then we might show more AMV's or just stick a fansub in there to kill time.
Yeah ... I use a Mac ... it works and I like it.

back in high school we would just use the club time (lunch basically) to watch anime, talk anime, and do workshops;; sometimes we would spend the 45ish minutes we had to watch vids

At klein high, theres usually an anime club every thursday, they usually watch anime, but we cant watch amvs unfortunetly, because that STUPID filter put a block one a-m-v.org, :cry: :cry: Stupid Bastards, whats an anime club without Anime????? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :roll: :roll: :evil:

According to our former Anime Club leader:
It changes from year to year depending on the eboard in question. It's traditionally been the librarian's responsibility, but as you all know I chose them myself for most of last year.

Unlike the showings, which are planned out and voted on long in advance, the AMVs are generally under the purview of a single person who has sole discretion (and often are chosen immediately before club ^_^*)

they do it at the club i'm at but more so in the past years i was there than now. used to hold a mini contest too. that was cool. they should bring it back. :cry:

In our club we show AMVs in the background during the small breaks after several episodes so it's 3-5 random AMVs in one showing for us.

My old anime club in college used to have a 10-minute break after the first 2 hours. if i had a new AMV to show, I'd usually show it just before the end of the break.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.
