Finding the Songs in AMVs
Hi, does anyone know an easy way to find the songs that are used in some of these AMVs? While some are easy enough to find (such as I borrowed a Madonna CD to find "Frozen") others (such as remixes of themes) are not so easy. Can anyone here give me some tips on how to find these songs?!

Doing a Gracenote (formerly CDDB) search helps you find out what album a given song was on, giving you leads on where to get stuff.midnightrose wrote:Hi, does anyone know an easy way to find the songs that are used in some of these AMVs? As far as remixes/really obscure stuff, sources are few and far between and KaZaA or other P2P programs tend to be your only option.
Also, if you're having trouble finding something, PM/email the creator and they usually be more than willing to either tell you where they found the song or even send you a copy.

Hint to AMV creators: help out the fans and add CD information to your comments sections. Title, artist, maybe the release date.
Another large CD database is at MusicMatch.
And for electronic music, there is Discogs. This one's good if you're looking for remixes.
