question about upload
okay, i uploaded the video and such and it says local on the download page, however, when the video goes to be downloaded, it is not able to be downloaded. does this mean the video has to be approved or something, or did i do something wrong. i took the username and password and uped the vid through cuteFTP and it finished fine, i clicked on confirm and nothing. this is my first successful try, i believe, so i don't know if something went wrong or not. sorry to be a bother.

Yes, others can download it (as long as they've been a member of the Org for two weeks).
A direct link is one that leads to a version of your video that you've uploaded somewhere else, to your own webspace. For instance, two of my videos I uploaded to the Donut, but I also have smaller copies of them on my college webspace, so I list those versions as direct links.
An indirect link, by the way, is one that doesn't go straight to the video file, but to a webpage from which you can find the video.
