Anime, AMVs, and T.V. commercials
this topic is about two things. first, has anyone seen the motorola commercial that was all anime? where the guy is running around trying to get away from some people and he keeps checking his pager thingy? i would like to get this on my computer, because i have an idea for the footage. AdCritic.com is now charging people to see the adds, and i cant tell if one of the ones listed under a search for motorola is one of them. i did a google searcgh, but all i get are motorola product sites and anime theamed ringtones for download. can someone help me find it please?
secondly, i have been seeing that most car commercials have taken a more creative editing style to the music-to-clip placement of footage movment and what not. it reminds me of some of the AMVs i have watched over the years. anyone else know what I'm talking about? seems like editing AMVs could be a good way to get into the T.V. commercial advertising business. some people here have really good talent in making trailers. maybe car companies got smart about what we do and are looking for people with our unique talent. maybe AMVs can lead to something other than fun times and a good hobby. thoughts or comments?

Yes, I've seen that one. Twas very cool, I had to throw something at my sister so she wouldn't channel surf away from it.
There are some places on USENET where one might have luck, I'll try one or two of those...

Actually, the commercial was for T-Mobile's new Sidekick and the website for the commercials can be found at www.johnnychase.com.XenoDrake wrote:has anyone seen the motorola commercial that was all anime? where the guy is running around trying to get away from some people and he keeps checking his pager thingy

hmm i think i remember that motorola one, pretty neat.
anyone remember the one where there's like a grocery store cashier who swipes like a pack of gum over the scanner, but it doesnt register so she swipes again, and everyone in the store breaks out into this percussion ensemble?
it was anime-style animation and i think the commercial was for a gum or something.

Im new
I am new to the site and will be unable to make videos for a couple weeks still. BrsrkMenchi is a friend of mine and will be helping me out when i get the software. My first video will be for Hellsing, the song Enter Sandman by Metallica. In the future i hop to do evangelion vids to Symphony X and other various things. my collection of anime is not as large as i would like it to be right now, so hellsing and evangeilon will be all i am able to make for awhile. Well party out anime lovers and kick them vids into high gear!

I've seen the first Motorola commercial. the 2nd one is a continuation from the first, but it's frame rate seemed fucked, it wasn't at all as smooth in the animation.
