Makoto Shinkai, the guy who made Voices of a Distant Star, was hired to make a music video for some pop singer, for her song "Egao". It's pretty cute.

There's an AMV on each of the 2nd discs of the three Saber Marionette J collections. They suck, though.

Those were made by Bandai, are shitty. These pro amv's we speak of are specifically animated for the song. The link to the other thread I posted features some sites were I found some videos, mostly by Kaji Morimoto.

the series by Daft Punk. There are four of them, if memory serves, starting with "One More Time" and ending with "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger." Okay, so I like the music, I'm biased...

You know, I knew who Matthew Sweet was for years (he did a song on the BtVS movie soundtrack that I LOVED, so I noticed his songs after that), but never knew he did anime videos till, like, last week. Heh.

i know of two really good ones on the Noir imports. they use songs from the OST for Noir as well. teh editing is really good and the songs chosen fit perfectly.

If by imports you mean HKDVDs...

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned that grandaddies of all professional AMVs, Daicon 3 and 4!
