Hi everyone,
I just finished editing my first full AMV in Adobe Premiere using footage from a Blu-ray source, and it looks great while previewing. But when I export the final video, the quality drops a lot — everything looks slightly blurry, especially during fast-motion scenes.
I'm exporting in H.264 at 1080p, using a fairly high bitrate (~15Mbps), so I thought it should look decent.
Is there something I’m missing when it comes to settings, or is there a better codec/workflow you recommend for keeping that crisp anime look after export?
Any advice would be super appreciated!
Thanks a lot.

Since you say it is happening during high motion scenes, the bitrate is probably not high enough for your video.
I would recommend to export using a lossless or near lossless codec, such as Prores or DnxHR, or just massively increase the bitrate for the H.264 export.
You can use AMVtool ( https://github.com/l33tmeatwad/AMVtool ) to compress that file down to a smaller size for distribution, and it can probably do so more efficiently than premiere can. If you are uploading to youtube, you could also just upload the large high quality exported file directly, so that it doesnt go through two rounds of heavy compression.
