Starting AMV - need your feedback!

Yo everyone!

Finally diving into the AMV world after years of watching them! I've been a huge fan since I discovered the legendary "Euphoria" on Evangelion (a classic that made me fall in love with animation).

Right now, I'm struggling a bit with timing and transitions (it's REALLY not as easy as it looks ). I'm using Vegas Pro and learning step by step. Currently working on a mix of Jujutsu Kaisen scenes with some unique sounds I found on [SoundScape Fusion]. I wanted to avoid the traditional metal that you see everywhere.

BTW, any tips for a beginner? Like classic mistakes to avoid? I've already figured out not to overuse flash effects and spinning transitions lol.

Anyway, can't wait to share my first edit with you guys (even though I'm a bit nervous). Until then, I'll keep getting inspired by your creations!

Classic Mistakes?
Trying to be perfect. The pursuit of perfection often leads to never finishing.
Trying to fit a mold of what is good and what isn't.
Making videos purely to please others and not yourself.
Listening to others.

If you want to get ideas for how to transition, watch more videos. See how they do it. Try to mimic the effects. Maybe watch YT tutorials on how to do specific things to understand how it can be done. See what then works with the vision you have.
Ultimately, make what you want to make and what makes you happy. If others enjoy it as well, that's just icing on the cake.

Man, you're so right about the perfectionism - I've been stuck on the same transition for ages trying to make it "perfect" Gonna try to just go with the flow and have fun with it instead!

Been watching tons of AMVs for inspiration lately.

Thanks for being real about this, really helped put things in perspective!
