As long as it's entertaining and fills a different niche from the other cosplay events, then why not?
All I had scene of cosplay MVs prior to this thread were live action parodies of openings like this-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bj4ttWEYjCw&

Re: Cosplay Music Videos - Thoughts?
One time I had an idea to do a live action movie trailer for Noir. It never got done because I couldn't find any cosplayers at the time. That and I didn't have a camera worthy of the effort....geez, I hadn't thought about this in years...hmmmmmm
Original animation is allowed.gotegenks wrote:don't we allow original animations here as long as they kinda look like anime, or am i making that up?
You absolutely cannot beat the T2i for the price.zibbazabba905 wrote:maybe I didn't waste my money on a T2i after all...

Re: Cosplay Music Videos - Thoughts?
I think this is really cool. If there is an interest and you can fill up an hour slot with it, definitely try it.
In a way, I think the only reason that AMVs as an art form ever became popular is because a few people originally made them, and then people saw those and thought they were cool, and everyone started copying and trying to do it themselves.
With youtube and cheap cameras, everyone wants to be a director these days, and so its probably natural that we would see videos like this start to come about. By showing them at cons, more and more people would see them and aspire to make their own, and it could also turn into something big.
I would say to dont even try to force it into any sort of a box such as "music videos". Encourage people to make whatever they want, and if some of them happen to be music videos, that's cool.
