I wanted to know because Im going to be uploading alot of my videos from now on and some of them are actually complete, they covered all I wanted them to, I dont want to change them in any way, but they are not complete songs (however I have made it so the song still has somewhat of a begginning and end instead of just cutting in and out) and only last around a minute long.
Yeah about the only stipulation is you cannot go back and finish it after it is uploaded. Though you CAN REMASTER it! It's just another way of saying 'I decided I wasn't satisfied with my video so I'm gonna do it over (or just touch it up a bunch... depending on how sexy you want it to sound... GAH! both sound sexy! DAMIT!!)'. Regardless don't SAY you uploaded a beta and we won't THINK you uploaded a beta see??

But if you start remastering all of your videos 2, 3x within months of their release than ppl MIGHT start getting suspicious.

The only, only question you need to ask yourself is, do I feel lucky?
Is this video still a work-in-progress?

If yes, then it's a beta. If no, then it's not. Length has nothing to do with the completeness of a work. 20-second SAST entries are in the catalog, I've released a video that's only 50 seconds long, and so on.

If you're that uncomfortable with the idea of posting 'short' videos, just make a compilation out of them and post it as one 5 or 6-minute video instead of a bunch of short ones. I've also seen this done before. And no, it doesn't have to be funny or MEP-ish - compilation format videos do not start and end with AMV Hell or the DDR Projects or VG Projects, etc.

The only difference between a beta and a release is the spelling.

Projects are never completed, only abandoned.

a longer video can get a stronger message across than a shorter video.

not always.

I keep telling my teachers that and turning in my 1 sentence essays :). It's amazing how much you can say in one sentence.

that depends on your audience - some people don't have the attention spans to "get into" long videos, and some people's attention spans are longer than blips and aren't satisfied with short videos.

IMHO if you get your point across it doesn't matter the length of your video.

And as people have already said in here many times weather or not a video is a beta is not limited to time restraints, but more on weather or not the editor of said video feels that his product is finished.

love Katies um... lack... of grammar skills sometimes? :/

*brrrr* it's cold in here... not just cuz Katie mistook 'weather' for 'whether'... but more cuz she's probably glaring at me right now :/. And apparently editors now control the weather.
