Hi,
it might be a great thing if I were able to tag the AMVs on my harddisk. I collect good ones and have already some about 100, I sort them into different folders but this is not that great. I'd like to be able to tag them with tags like "slow", "fast", "happy", "sad", "rock", "techno" etc. but I believe there is no possibility to do this in Windows file system without using at least an additional database. Does someone have some hints about which small free tools might be able to do file-tagging in windows? I could also live with having a small database file placed near the AMV. But I believe it should be possible using the NTFS-filesystem also.

You can tag your MP4 and MPG videos in Vista and 7. Properties > Details.
Unfortunately you can't do this with AVI files (WTF?)
Here's an external app you could try: http://lunarfrog.com/
I've never tried it, so let me know if it's any good, if you decide to give it a go.

At least as far back as XP you can view a file's properties and add comments to the file's meta data. You can then search and sort this using view -> details or with some searches using windows search advanced options.
