Basically the blowup of the international rapelay brouhaha just helped lay foundation for politicians to have something to do. EOCS is trying to self police due to massive pressure although no specific parties have been leaked out. There have been a lot of discussions and talk about this in the otaku scene especially on 2ch.

Basically at present there are some politics going on and I think part of the problem is they can't get the legislation in to make possession of real child porn a crime because some groups want to tack on a lot of extra restrictive stuff. Particularly interesting are some of the comments from Hanashi Yasuhiro of the LDP in the june 26th conference link below.

In closing the JP have some really fucked up pr0n but can you blame them when they mosaic it!! Perhaps there would be less focus on deviant porn if they allowed uncensored action. Only time will tell. Luckily now that we have the internets there will probably be less cases of some poor bastard addicted to masturbating to mosaic textures =p
