why is metal almost nonexistent in amvs?

I think it could be that the metal fans are too busy watching fansubs and are too lazy to pay for actual footage. I mean, so-called anime "fans" worship the fansubs like they're better than the dubs or even the official subs, I just think they don't want to actually have to pay to get footage to make vids for this place.

Yes, but while this is a fact the .org wouldn't like to advertise, with the increasing quality of fansubs these days they're getting to a point where they're often superior to "actual footage".

That's really not an argument in any case. Obtaining anime footage, through "legal" channels or otherwise, is not an issue today. Compared to the time that is invested into a quality AMV, the cost of DVDs is negligible.

nobody makes metal amvs because its annoying to hear people complain about how metal is not music and "makes my ears bleeeeeeed!!!" if they actually talked all we have to do is ignore them but its hard to ignore a bunch of text unless its like that useless A-B conversation Kev posted up
