Since I think satisfactory lyrics will be hard to come I too would suggest some classical music. If you can't find any you like then get a German or Japanese song where the singer has an extremely low voice that meets a song with a lot of Bass. I could also agree with some techno, as long as it is not too too fast. Maybe you should try something from the Boogiepop soundtrack. It may seem like a bunch of pots and pans clanging together sometimes, but it is slow, has a lot of bass, and is very loud, with random sounds and such. This I guess depends on the type of AMV you are looking to make. The Boogiepop Phantom soundtrack would work wonders with a character profiling AMV, while action you may just choose some medium paced techno.
