Searching for similar anime(s) to Perfect Blue

Hi,

I have an amv idea in my mind and it would go pretty well with Perfect Blue, but I´m sure that the movie alone would be just not enough material. So I´m searching for an anime that is somehow about showbiz and the illusions in it. Something that deals with the shadow sides of fame. I leave this more open since it´s only a idea for now.

To make a better overall image I would prefer something with a graphical style that could go hand in hand with PB. I know that this isn´t easy and it´s not a too big criteria. The difference shouldn´t be too extreme, like a comedy anime with chibi or something.

Let´s gather some more clear ideas about it even if I´m sure that my next project is more or less fix :3

not sure about style but as for showbiz:

Kelaido star
Macross frontier
maybe some gundam seed/destiny with the who using Lacus as a puppet... to give "war" the ok.. only it's not really Lacus some poor wannabe singer looses her identity over it.

I think those would be hard to crossover with Perfect Blue

Especially Macross Frontier and Gundam @_@

Ah Kaleidostar seams to be a good guess, but I´m afraid that there is a lag of drama and seriousness.

I´m thankful for your suggestions, but I´m looking for something that is more set in the present and reality.
