May be too late to help, but Rune Soldier does have one episode where Louie fights a bear, and a couple other episodes where they are going to destroy a weather-control machine, featuring nasty snow spirits or something.

Okay, then--the bear fight is just at the beginning of Episode 17 (Disc 5), and the weather story convers eps 9 amd 10 (disc 3.)
