Action AMV suggestions?

After much thought and consideration, I decided to do a Peacemaker Kurogane AMV, which would obviously be action, and maybe a little drama. I've only been making AMV's for a month (So I am basically unexperienced). Do you have any suggestions in what you like to see in an action AMV? (I am wanting to put an action AMV into a compeition one day). Is there any special effects that compliment an Action AMV? Any advice into making an action AMV? Any sort of advice would help. What do you not like to see in an action AMV?

no seriously, sync up the action to your song...

as for effects that depends on what you are doing... the song and what kind of theme you are going to go for... if youre new to editing id stick to just trying to sync the movement to the song

^ that is what i would suggest... get some of the more basic stuff down first then worry about effects the more your ideas grow

you gotta have a clear idea of what kinds of effects you want to do or else it will come out a real mess

I have been practicing a lot and I got the action synching down pretty good, and I have a lot of action syching. What else can I do? The only thing I am good at is fading, and action synching.

Also, for a sentimental part in an AMV can you sych it with the song?

I am actually doing Peacemaker Kurogane, with the begining of Our Farewell from Within Temptation and I am doing the rest with Crossfade "No Giving Up" (Is it ok to cut verses or parts from a song, even if the result sounds right?)

Yea go for it, just make sure you keep the overall track a reasonable size.
