A lot of it probably has to do with people being new, like me. It all stems from getting an idea and wanting to see it through, even if it's been done before. That's how progress is made. People have different ideas of using the songs to show the essence of the anime and thus, make their own visions with it.

And if you want to talka bout overplayed ideas, I think "In The End" takes the cake, period, for all AMVs.

But this is just a newbie talking.

I don't see the big deal, Monarch. DO you mean to tell us that once a particular scene and/or song is used for an AMV, it should never be used again? I mean we all have to start somewhere and how can we create without inspiration? If you have a problem, leave it in an opinion, don't smack them around publically.
Now, if you don't mind, I think I'm gonna go make and AMV with eva to Anema by tool. Wonder what scenes i'll use.....
