For all you Nightwish fans out there, I'm thinking about attempting the impossible... making a video to Ghost Love Score. For those who don't know who Nightwish is, they are(were) a heavy Finnish metal band with an operetic front female singer. Think Evanessence, only 100x better. Ghost Love Score is by far the longest song they ever created, a whopping 10+ minutes of pure goodness.
The longest video I've done so far was my Seven Minutes video, done to the song of the same name. My origional plan was to use Gundam Seed/Destiny for this, but I'm woundering if perhaps I should switch to something like Eureka Seven(Probably not) or Code Geass(Probably).
I guess my question is, should I attempt to do this song in its entirity? Or should I cut out some of the middle parts that I don't like as much. And if so, what type of program would be best for seamlessly croping such a song?

Should I attempt this behemoth? Ghost Love Score!

Remember who you're making the video for. If it's a Song/Anime that you really desire to make an AMV for then it doesn't matter what the critics think.
It's like the guy before said, if someone is a fan of the Song or the Anime they will enjoy it. Don't comrimise your artistic integrity because you're afraid someone won't like your project.

Hell yes! I'd personally think it would be disappointing to Nightwish fans if you didn't use the whole song. I love the idea, give it a try and see how it works out. After all, you don't know what's going to happen unless you actually do it. And as for the critics, I agree with Alexstar6, just screw 'em! As long as your're proud of what you've done, who cares what they say?! On a personal note, Ghost Love Score is one of my favorite songs on the "Once" album. I can't wait for "Dark Passion Play" though, the new singer is awesome!
