I need help finding a good AMV editing program.

Post by Iced Earth Fan » Mon Jul 09, 2007 7:55 pm

I posted another bulletin about this in the genral video forum... But I don't know if that was a good place for it, so I decided to post it here as well. Right now all I have to create AMV's is Windows Movie Maker. I have a good dvd ripping and converting program I bought, but I can't seem to find any decent editing software (either that or I'm too lazy to really look for one:). Plus, I'm still a rookie when it comes to this. If any of you can recommend me something, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Horns Up,
I.E. Fan

I use WMM myself... it sucks, I notice that all the videos I love seem to be made with Sony Vegas so im trying to learn that its not too bad of a transition between WMM and Vegas and sony does offer a free trial

WMM Doesn't suck, It just doesn't have all the capabilities.

Why the hell did you bu ya DVD ripper and such. -_-.

Also if you're new to this, I suggest you get at least Decent with WMM before moving on, Or else you'll go into Vegas or whatever and think "ZOMG ALL THE FX I CAN TOTALLY OWN NOWZ"

Sorry, I'm not as arrogant as that. As to the reason of buying the program, I don't feel like pirating and ripping companies off (Besides that it was only $29 dollars:). Anyhow, thanks for your suggestions, I'll check them out when I get the chance.

Many Hails,

this site doesn't condone pirating, and these ripping programs are free to start with. AMVApp comes with a perfectly good free one.

That's not the point. The point is that there are fully functioning DVD rippers that have all the features and capabilities you could ask for that are totally free. In fact, the free ones are the ones that the people at places like Doom9 write their ripping guides for.

(DVD Decrypter and SmartRipper come to mind.)

People ignore stickies. Public censure or manditory LURK MOAR time would be a plus though. =/
