I know this is for the music videos, but i still need suggestions.

I made a couple of banners and they got rejected. I would be ever so grateful if some people looked at them an could tell me why people voted them down..

and this one was rejected before voting even took place...

I do like the new logo for the purpose that it makes the poorly made banners easier to spot.

Flat colors. No depth. Bad text. Composition and stock/render placement is bad (size etc...).

Now go fix those!

And that last one got rejected before voting do to the misspelling of "else"

(i cant take banner crit but aparently i sure can give it)
I like the concept of the first one, its very cute and the series is cool too..

the concept of the second one is okay, but not that interesting to me, and it helps to know the series behind the picture...

the third one is cute but you misspelled "else" (someone already mentioned) and thats more than likely the reason it was rejected... (i used to get rejected banners for misspellings all the time, its made me learn to double check it most of the time)

i voted them unworthy mostly because i didnt like the quality of the logo
it has like a rainbowing effect around the edges, and it seems kinda jaggedy and not smooth...

other things that added into it:
1. the text seemed very flat and blended kinda with the background...
2. the images though cute are very very very small, and hard to see it helps if your image takes up more than just the tiny corner of the banner
3. "animemusicvideos.org" is kinda hard to make out
4. banner #2 i dont like the color scheme... pale pink would go better with that color green than red would
5. the backgrounds are uninteresting flat color

I think ive also heard a complaint about people overusing "little girl" anime pics for banners

another thing you might want to do is take a look at what kind of banners are winning and the types of banners the top banner makers have made.. I'm not saying to coppy their styles but its worth looking at what is winning votes and compare to what isnt so you can get an idea on how you can improve your own style if you want to win some worthy banners

Plain backgrounds aren't necessarily a bad thing and you don't need to have a super fancy banner to get worthy. Most of my banners aren't fancy and I use plain backgrounds all the time because I think it gives a cleaner look. But then you have to go on to do exactly that. Make sure it has a cleaner look. Using either light colors or really dark colors for the background depending on the pic you're using and the look you're going for is usually better rather than crayon mid to bright colors. Unless you have a really good sense of color and can make your text/logo match. Which is the next thing. The colors you chose to go with it are kinda odd. It almost goes in the 1st, but the 2nd clashes terribly. If you HAVE to use odd colors like that, its best to make the text and logo white, black, grey, or something in the same color family. (like a lighter or darker version of the color.) The text looks like it was written with paint. For the sake of cleanness, it's better to use actual text fonts or at least something that looks more like a typed font. While artistically, it works for the 1st, all the rest, it looks messy. And like Katie said, make your pics a little bigger and not just shoved in a corner. Putting a pic sideways or at an angle is always an option. If you HAVE to shove a pic in the corner, try cutting the character out so they look more like part of the banner than something you shoved in the corner. But still try making them a little bigger so they're easier to see. And I think she said about everything else I was going to say. lol.
