SOMEWHERE (on one of those otaku FAQ sites), there's a chart comparing the size of various anime mechs. Eva's are the largest by a vary wide margine. The usual mech is about 2-3 stories tall. Eva's are 8 stories tall. Is' like I said before, Eva's fighting was MOTW style, so they' Godzilla size rather than puny little mech anime size. =P

Well I suppose you could pair them off against the Devil Gundam, I'd say he's plenty big enough. And I actually know where Tommy is getting that data roughly. In size comparison Gundams on avererage amount to about four to five stories. A human is about the size of a Gundam chest while they are only about the size of an Eva foot.

Note_TommyRude- Does it really matter that the Gundams might be smaller than the EVAs, even if it would really look odd to us. If they went head-to-head in the same anime or even in real life. We shouldn't judge the idea, bad, because the two types of mechas concerned are of totally different size.
What we should be looking for; should really be downfalls in the editing of an AMV like this. What if they edit it in a way that the size difference between the 2 mechas is not noticed then, they have done good. However the bad point maybe that they are using the same few clips over and over throughout the whole vid or use a song that is overused or doesn't sync with the vid.

Hey Gatsthedarksword. Are you guys actually gone do this vid ? and have you got any songs in mind or what ?

Well, the video is a bad idea also because the fighting style is totally different. Eva fight hand to hand mostly, Gundams in GW use guns. Also, it'll be hard to match up the killing/being killed combos. All in all, its gonna look REALLY lame. Basically, Gundam shoots, eva gets shot, anothereva shoots, gundam gets shot. L-A-M-E.
Instead of making a stupid fanboy suckfest like said idea in this topic's title, why not make a video wit a cool plot that tells a story instead?

Ok TommyRude, now I do agree with you. As you have proven that this vid would probably look disgusting. From a limited range of clips and no really linking between the 2 mechas; as you say in size or fighting styles.

It was good finding out other reasons why this sort of vid may fail from the word "go".

I was thinking up a vid Using the song "Walk this way"

The whole idea was very lame though.

Eva footage when it is aerosmith doing the lyrics and gundam when it is Run DMC.

The name.... Mecha this way :|
