This is a picture of the character that I am looking for. It was captured from the 'Yatta' video, so the quality isn't that great. And if you have any links to sites with pictures on them... I would be very happy, and that's always a good thing.

Parappa-related anecdote:
For a short while several years ago I used the nick "parapara" on IRC. Shortly after Parappa came out in Japan, someone asked if I was supposed to be "parappa the raper". It was a typo, of course, but since I hadn't heard of the game yet, I was just very confused, and didn't respond.
