Video source question

Is it possible to take video clips off of a DVD, turn them into avi files, and send them through e-mail?

yeah, but I wouldnt reccomend it unless both you and the recipient both have wicked fast net connections, otherwise its gonna take 6 hours on both ends.

Or the video will look like some sort of jigsaw puzzle because you have to compress the video so much.

Yeah, an uncompressed AVI of a DVD chapter rip can easily be about one gigabyte in size.

I'd really be surprised if there were an email service that actually allowed a file that large to be attached.

Maybe we can send eachother our anime DVDs through the mail...get the DVD, get the clips, *return to sender*...

We could make it so if you send your DVD to another, they have to send you one of theirs (FOR RANSOM IF THEY DON'T RETURN IT
