I play everquest on Rallos zek my highest level though is a 22 warrior I just got him some guardian no drop thanks to my guild.

I played for a while, had a warrior up to 50 before I stopped. Eventually I just stopped caring about it. I had too much drama going on, too. People my friend and I knew from the game where calling her to harrass her fiance, stuff like that. We're not sure how they got her number, either. It got creepy after a while.

I have a Rallos Char too... But I mostly play on povar because it has a low lag and the zones don't crash that often.

i would never start to play that game, i've heard some pretty ridiculous stories about that game. people leaving their wives/husbands and stuff like that. one of my friends actually had to go to rehab because he was faking a sleeping disorder so he could stay up and play everquest. i'd be careful if i were you guys.....

Ha! There are lots and lots of stories like that, and most of them are actually true. People that get that addicted to the game are messed up, but they probably have the personality to be addicted to anything. It's probably best they were addicted to EQ instead of, say, crack. The worst story I ever heard was this guy that played pretty much all the time. He wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep, wouldn't talk to people, just stayed in his room and played this game. He was so immersed in it that when some sort of drama happened to him, he ended up killing himself. Over what someone said in the game. His mother disregarded the fact that he had lots of emotional and mental problems, and decided that it was Sony and Verrant's fault for making the game and making it so addictive. She felt that they should put warning labels on games like that. Maybe she's right, but I still think she's stupid for blaming some company's for her son having problems.

That's probably a pretty good reason.

I played Asheron's Call for about a year-and-a-half as a fighter/cook (a template I called an Iron Chef, character name Chne Ken'ichi) on the Harvestgain server.

It was tough to leave, since I'd found a group of online buddies that hunted together and used voicecomm software to keep in touch, but I don't think I was really addicted. I mean, it was just too easy to quit cold turkey for that.

Now, I play Day of Defeat (haven't bothered to re-download Counterstrike) online, and if I get a GEForce4 or 512MB of RAM for Christmas, I might haveta look into Star Wars: Galaxies. And if we get broadband, and my wife gets her new desktop, I might have to get her into it as well...

Hehe I have a Ogre on Zebuxerok named Bakaoni.

Ok heres what It comes down to I play eq 3 times a week the length of time varies. I would not say I am an addict.
