Adobe Premiere can go to hell...
...and take it up the ass from Satan. While it's down there, it should be made to grow balls, and then have them painfully crushed. Next, it must undergo a series of tortures involving cutting out bytes of data from its sensitive areas. When it can no longer stand the pain, it should be thrown into a room filled with Visual Basic programmers where it will be defiled for all eternity.

HAHA! Someone has a shitty computer. Get Windows 2k Pro, XP can lag a lot in premire and im not even gonna go into DOS based OSs like 98 or ME. Or if you have a MAC, well then you deserve these problems for being so gay. And if you already have 2k, and your still getting those problems, time for a new computer. Lots of DDR Ram and a fast AMD cpu(although ive heard good things about the newest P4s) can help a lot too.
Also, im giving you the benefite of the doubt here and assuming your problems dont stem from the fact you just cant figure out the program, cause i mean seriously, its not that hard. Now After Effects, that can be a bitch sometimes.

Awwwww, did premiere crash? Had you not saved? I feel your pain!
Encoding anime? Heh! Mmmmmmm.... Encoding anime on a P4 2.3GHz.... I can do a 2 pass encode, overlaying subtitles and running a warpsharp filter on an episode in 40 minutes.... *drools*
God I wish I had a machine like that... unfortunately, it's my former room mates.. but whiel I was there, I was using at an encoding box... god it was tasty! The encoder for my group would be sitting in the IRC channel moaning about how his encoding machine crashed (Again... I dunno WTF this guy does to make his machine crash so much...) ... so anyway, I'm like "Hang on... ok.. I'll have the ep uploaded to the distro server in an hour."
*sigh* I miss that power...
BTW What's Platonic Chain like? I saw episodes of it on one particular FTP and was thinking about checking it out, but didn't... is it worth it?

Well, its certainly nothing deep. With eps about 5 minutes each, theres not really much of a storyline either. It's about schoolgirls in Shibuya. Its 3D CG cell-shaded animation. I'm not really quite sure why I even like it... but things are kept interesting because something unexpected usually happens at the end of the episodes. If you are reluctant to get involved in a long series (like me), its definately something worth watching... 5 minutes each, practically no commitment involved 8)
